IMC evening training available from June 2008

19/03/08

BPP is pleased to offer evening courses for delegates wishing to study towards the IMC (Investment Management Certificate) starting in June 2008.  The courses will run for 10 evenings with classes taking place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6pm – 8.45pm) for 5 consecutive weeks.  This training option for the IMC will cover both units (Unit 1 – UK Regulation and Markets and Unit 2 – Investment Practice).

Nick Bartlett, Head of IMC Training at BPP Professional Education’s Financial Services Faculty, commented; “This training option is perfect for delegates wanting to train for the IMC examination that can’t attend classroom courses during standard working hours.  It’s also ideal if you are looking to study towards the Level 1 December 2008 CFA examination and want to complete the IMC beforehand without using up study leave from your employer.  The evening course will run at a similar pace to our daytime accelerated courses so is designed for those who have some prior understanding to finance, investment or accounting.”

The Investment Management Certificate (IMC) is an FSA approved threshold competency examination that aims to test candidates' basic knowledge of the regulations and practices of financial markets, the categories of securities and the principles of investment management.  It is examined by the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK) which was formerly recognised as UKSIP (The UK Society of Investment Professionals).
