SII announce changes to the Certificate in Corporate Finance syllabus

The Securities and Investment Institute (SII) has announced changes to the Certificate in Corporate Finance syllabus which will take effect from 9th February 2009. The new syllabus is version 4.

New study materials

BPP delegates who have existing study materials are strongly advised to complete the examination before the new syllabus takes effect on 9th February 2009. If you are unable to complete your studies before the new syllabus starts BPP will provide you with updates to supplement your existing study texts. These updates will be made available on BPP Online.

BPP delegates who intend to sit the exam after 9th February 2009 should ideally study using the new study materials. We anticipate having study texts available by mid December 2008.

Tuition towards the updated syllabus (version 4)

BPP tutors will be teaching towards the new syllabus (version 4) on the following course dates:

• Monday 2nd February 2009 - new Corporate Finance Regulation (Unit 1) syllabus – V4
• Tuesday 3rd February 2009 - new Corporate Finance Technical Foundations (Unit 2) syllabus – V4
• Monday 23rd February 2009 - new Corporate Finance Regulation (Unit 1) syllabus – V4
• Tuesday 24th February 2009 - new Corporate Finance Technical Foundations (Unit 2) syllabus – V4

The training course commencing on 12th January 2009 (Unit 1) and 13th January 2009 (Unit 2) will teach towards the existing syllabus (version 3), which is valid up to and including the 8th February 2009.
