07/03/08

The dedicated section of our website for the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) is now available including dates and prices

BPP Professional Education is launching training courses for delegates wishing to study for the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) qualification in the UK from Summer 2008.  Training courses are scheduled to run in London for delegates wishing to study towards the November 2008 examination.

David Bowden, Managing Director of the Financial Services Faculty at BPP, commented; “Enrolments onto the FRM qualification have been growing strongly for the last few years so there is clearly demand for this qualification and we are delighted to be one of the major training providers to offer courses.  I expect there to be strong demand for this qualification in light of recent market activity.”

“Because the FRM is a practitioner based programme and many of our existing clients already endorse and use this qualification globally, we feel it is an essential addition to our product range.”

FRM is the longest established qualification, dedicated to the risk management profession, across the globe.  It became available in 1997 and nearly 11,000 people across the globe have passed the examination to date.  The qualification is examined by GARP™ (Global Association of Risk Professionals™) which has over 73,000 members worldwide, making them one of the world’s largest financial industry associations.  The majority of existing delegates that have passed the exam are based in the Commercial Banking (29%), Investment Banking (9%) and Asset Management (8%) sectors of the financial services industry*.

BPP’s training course will be 6 days broken down into 3 phases (2 days each) starting in August 2008.  Course dates and costs will be available from our website shortly. You can now book a place at our FRM launch event on Thursday 3rd July 2008 from the website.
