Is this an exam focused course?
Yes, this course is focused on preparing delegates to sit for the SII Islamic Finance Qualification examination.
Is any prior knowledge required?
A basic understanding of the financial markets is assumed. If you have not previously studied or worked in the area of finance then you could consider the IAQ™ Introduction to Securities & Investment course.
Many delegates find it useful to have read the SII manual before attending the course. This will apply particularly to you if you are new to the subject. The key chapters to work through in advance are chapters 1 to 4. However we will not assume any prior knowledge.
How long will I need to study for?
You will need to allocate approximately 100 hours of personal study time to complete the IFQ.
What format is the examination for IFQ?
The IFQ examination is a two hour, 100 multiple-choice question examination. The IFQ examination is offered in English; please note that BPP is also only offering training in English. The pass mark for the examination is 70%.
How do I register for the examination?
You’ll need to register for the examination directly with the SII by completing a Qualification Registration Form. A fee of £75 is payable to the SII for entry to the exam. The forms are available by visiting www.sii.org.uk/qrf. For details of examination venues and dates, please visit www.sii.org.uk or www.esa.edu.lb
