  • Are there any sample questions for candidates to review?
    You can download practice exam papers from the GARP® website. Sample questions are also available from the GARP website.

  • Does GARP provide an exam study guide?
    Yes. The exam study guide is available to download from the GARP website.

  • Is there a recommended reading list?
    A list of core recommended readings to assist with your FRM exam preparation is available from the GARP FRM exam study guide which you can download from the GARP website.

  • Where can I buy titles from the recommended reading list?
    The GARP Digital Library includes most core readings from the 2008 FRM Study Guide and has made them available in a variety of ways. Please visit the GARP website to access the online digital library.

  • How much preparation would I need for the FRM examination?
    The FRM is a challenging and demanding exam covering a range of risk management concepts and issues. We believe that candidates should begin their exam preparations as soon as they receive their study materials and aim to spend a minimum of 250 hours reviewing the exam syllabus, working through the practice questions and doing the practice exams. This includes the time that you spend on your BPP course.

  • What textbooks do I need to purchase to prepare for the exam?
    The study material that BPP provides though Kaplan Schweser has been written to comprehensively cover the entire FRM syllabus. The study material effectively summarises all the core readings of the FRM syllabus to help you understand the required risk related concepts and apply them in an exam related way. Should you wish to read the original core readings, these can be purchased from the GARP Digital Library or from other bookstores.

  • How long are your FRM courses?
    Our FRM course is six full days training broken down into 3 phases - 2 days each.

  • Do you produce a study guide to help me in my studies?
    The FRM study guide is available to download from the GARP website.

  • What is the study period for each exam?
    There's a vast amount of information to learn and understand for your exam so you should start your studies as early as possible. Our course starts three months before the examination but don't forget, we're always here to offer advice, guidance, support and tips from the day you first enroll with us.
