To register for the program, a delegate must fulfil the entrance requirements. You must:
Registering for your first exam also registers you as a candidate on the CFA Program. A one-off enrolment fee is required in addition to the exam registration fee
To preserve your candidate status you must maintain a commitment to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct – a commitment that demands you put the interests of your clients first.
Gaining the charter takes a minimum of 2 to 3 years and you will need to:
pass each of the Level I, II and III exams
The CFA Institute recommends a minimum of 250 hours of study with substantially more depending on individual circumstances
meet the work experience requirements
If you became a candidate in the 2005 exam cycle or thereafter, you will need four years of acceptable professional work experience for regular membership
